Penrith Show 2024

The event kicked off with the Small car Demolition Derby featuring ADDA Members Shane “Beast” Ryan (Madza3), Jayden Taylor (Hyundai Getz) and Alec “Craze” Zammitt (Mazda626).

The collisions were fast and hard, with the Members of the ADDA being the stand-out stars of the Demolition Derby. Shane “Beast” Ryan went to work early with a couple of massive shots on Jayden Taylor’s passenger side wheel, taking him out of the competition. Alec “Craze” Zammitt pulled off some impressive shots on local drivers, pushing his boot hard up against his rear tyres.

Finally, it was Craze vs the Beast, Mazda vs Mazda to finish the event. The two went to battle before Craze car suffered from fuel related issues, leaving the Beast to be crowned small car champion.

After a short break it was time for the large car Demolition Derby to commence. ADDA Members Nathan “Bake” Williams (Magna), Chris “Shake” Fisher (Camry), Matt Moore (Magna), Zak “Reaper” Kelly (Magna), Aiden “Jigsaw” James (Magna) and backing up from the Small car Derby Alec “Craze” Zammitt (Territory). The event started dramatically, with a number of local drivers being eliminated from the competition in the opening moments.

Aiden suffered a clean passenger side wheel shot, resulting in a loss of steering minutes into the event. Nathan put on a massive shot, wiping out a local driver and securing “Biggest Hit”. Craze suffered electrical issues during the event, catching fire. The battle came down to Chris, Matt, Zak and Aiden before repeated stoppages took Matt out of the running with heat related issues. Chris and Zak went head to head, the impact causing Zak to lose all gears and be eliminated from the competition.

Finally, it came down to Chris Vs Aiden, but with little to no steering available, Chris made quick work of Aiden and claimed the large car championship.
